As a court of record, we are responsible for the accurate documentation of the succession and management of Māori land.
The Minister of Māori Development has sought expressions of interest for the next Chief Judge of the Māori Land Court, and will in due course announce the appointment of the next Chief Judge and Chairperson of the Waitangi Tribunal.
Judge Thomas is currently the Director at Kaupare Law and Consultancy and holds an LLB, BA from the University of Auckland. Judge Thomas has a strong interest in the retention, development and promotion of all aspects of te Ao Māori.
