Injunctions can be temporary (‘interim injunctions’) or permanent. Section 19 of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993 (the Act) provides jurisdiction for the Māori Land Court to grant both permanent and interim injunctions (Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, s 19).
