This working list is comprised of successors to the 53 original beneficiaries who were allocated land between Lakes Hāwea and Wānaka (‘The Neck’) under the ‘SILNA’ scheme. The South Island Landless Natives Act 1906 was repealed in 1909 without those 53 people having received their SILNA land.
