Kaiwhakawā Damian Stone Ngāti Kahungunu Judge Damian Stone was appointed to the Māori Land Court on 25 March 2019. Based in Wellington, he is the resident judge for the Tākitimu District of the Māori Land Court hearing cases in Hastings.
This trust will hold the land for the beneficial owners, hapū, iwi, or Whenua Tōpū trust.
They will also be able to vote on whether they want to receive the land back as Māori or General land, and how that land will be held.
