On that island I see te iwi Māori walking proudly within their own Māori world and over their own land. So, I suggest to you now, if your vision of an island is similar to mine, we must grasp an oar and get on board this waka we share so that we can row together towards that island.

If no notice is filed by the date set out above, the Court may proceed to consider the
proposed application for alienation of the land.
This may be because the owners have consciously chosen to not put one in place, or have attempted to do so and have been unsuccessful, or have not turned their minds to the options.
