A Maori Reservation is a special type of trust that sets aside land (Māori or general land) for a wide variety of community purposes.
In addition, experts from within the Ministry of Justice – Eamonn Bolger and members of Special Jurisdictions were consulted. Feedback in general was positive, the schedule and report were noted as having been well ordered with excellent use of historical contextualisation of the Court as a “Court” (Judicial entity) and as a business unit (Crown entity).

Accurate minutes of the meeting should be taken. The meeting must be properly advertised in a main newspaper circulating in the district where the land is located.

For a number of reasons, including a failure to undertake registrations of beneficial owners present at the meeting, the Māori Land Court decided that the election results were unsafe and ordered a further meeting.
A copy of the notice of the meeting given to the owners is attached (including any newspaper advertisement).
