Water services application types
Appeals toMāoriLand Court - for issues about access toMāorilandto work on water infrastructure
This kind of appeal is different from appealing orders made by the MāoriLand Court.
Access toMāoriland was generally considered when the title of the land was originally issued and in many cases:
a roadway would have been created to give access to the land
there may have already been a public or private roadway servicing the land, or
a right of way to access land, across a neighbouring property, may have been put in place.
The Act also allows for appeals to the Māori Appellate
Court in relation to decisions of the MāoriLand Court
around access toMāoriland for water infrastructure.
