3. Complete documents together
At the hui, it is useful to complete:
• Form B1 – consent to be appointed as trustee forms
• written consents for vesting interests
• draft trust order
This ensures everyone understands and agrees with the documents.
If you wish to appear you should contact the Court and file a Notice of Intention to Appear on Form5 and serve a copy
on the applicant. This will assist the Court in dealing with the hearing and enable it to contact you over the hearing
should the need arise.

A whenua tōpū trust is established for land that is for community use or for a hapū or iwi.
An application to the Māori Land Court needs to be filed
on the relevant application form and accompanied by the
application fee, which is shown on the form.
