ROADWAY MAINTENANCE
Those who use a roadway to gain access to their blocks
should maintain it. The roadway is only for the use of owners
of the blocks and the people they invite onto the land; it’s not
a public road.
Types of access
Access to whenua can be through a variety of roadways that cross or run through the land block. These include:
Ngā rori tūmataiti
Private roads
A private road is a restricted road that isn’t owned by the council or the public.
