Use this form to file an appeal against a final decision or determination ofthe Māori Land Court.
An appeal under Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993 may only be lodged within 2 months from the date ofthe
decision or determination, unless accompanied by an application seeking leave to appeal out of time on Form 1.
However, a succession application can be made on behalf of a whānau member if that is preferred. Regardless of who applies, we will carry out the necessary research to identify and confirm all ofthe rightful new owners ofthe land interests or incorporation shares.
Any member ofthe preferred class of alienees who wishes to be considered by the owners as
a prospective purchaser ofthe land must give written notice of his or her intention to pursue
the right of refusal at the hearing ofthe application.

This form may be used by the executor(s)/administrator(s) of an estate to certify those persons entitled to the Māori
