Trusts should be reviewed regularly to ensure they are operating according to the trust order and that the trustees are working to a high standard.
They have many important responsibilities to fulfil and must balance the expectations of the beneficiaries with their duties as prudent trustees. Trustees are appointed by the Māori Land Court under the jurisdiction set out in s 222 of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993.
Whilst you can act by majority, you all share equally in any decisions made by the trust, good or bad.
