TAKE NOTICE THAT the following schedule of applications are hereby notified pursuant to rule
5.11(2)(b) of the Māori Land Court Rules 2011 being applications which are 6 months or older as at 31
August 2025, and which are currentlyheld by the Registrar in the District set out, or, in the case of
applications to the Chief Judge of Māori Land Court
The working list of potential owners was updated at a sitting of the Māori Land Court in Te
Waipounamu on 26 April 2022, minute book 76 Te Waipounamu 246-311.
Where a determination or order has already been made by a Registrar, affected persons may
also apply to the Court to seek a review of that determination or order.
This could include:
continuing with a current application in the Māori Land Court
submitting a further application to the Māori Land Court
seeking advice or continuing with further mediation with the same or a different mediator.
DEPUTY CHIEF JUDGE – CRAIG COXHEAD I am delighted to advise that Judge Craig Coxhead has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief Judge of our Court. Judge Coxhead was appointed to the Māori Land Court in 2008 and is one of the resident judges in Waiariki, as well as a Presiding Officer in the Waitangi Tribunal, Chief Justice of the High Court of Niue and a Justice of the High Court of Cook Islands.
