All Trustees must retain a copy of this Trust Order and any variations. Definitions 7.6 In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires: Act means Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993.
When the court reviews the trust, it may: (a) make directions to the trustees; (b) confirm the trust order without variation; (c) vary the trust order; or (d) make an order terminating the trust.

The Maori Land Court will ‘vest’ the land interest by way of a vesting order.
More problematic was that in the early 1970s there had been further succession orders in relation to interests not dealt with in 1967.
This would align the Act with the rating charging order provisions in Part 4 of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002, which permit the compulsory vesting of Māori land in a receiver or trustees where there is a rating debt.

This is referred to an ‘order of payment’. Payment orders are often made during a succession, when we become aware that money is being held.
Where that land is vested in a trust or an incorporation, such an order will only be made with the consent of the trust or management committee, and may be made for a specified period.
