The court minute becomes a part of the court record. The court minute is a valuable taonga that provides important information for future generations to learn about the history of their whenua.

You may see applications referred to as: APPEAL YYYY/NN Where: • APPEAL = A prefix to indicate the application is one made to the Appellate Court • YYYY = The year in which the application was received (circa 1921-) • NN = A sequential number which is incremented as a new application is received.
