WHAT IS THIS FORM FOR?
It was “good
to walk on the land and then go back to the kura” where there was discussion about
finalising the application, including agreement that the appellation on the title would be
‘Aorere’, and who would act as interim agents for the owners.
The Court may, on considering your notification, arrange for the application to be set down for a formal hearing if the
application has yet to be determined or for a rehearing if the application has already been determined.
Let us not be the reason for the efforts of those who formed the crowd of combat, the nation of contention, the realm of revitalisation, of those who had fortitude, who preserved, who were patient and tolerant, those who gave us a breath of life, let us not be the reason for their efforts to be swept away like dust.
Personal Learnings In preparing for today, I thought about an inspirational mantra I could impart with you all as a means of firing you all up for the next step in your life journey – which for most of you will be working in your chosen fields.
Conclusion If we start with the correct presumption that good Māori governance is essential for Māori and New Zealand economic, political and social development, then there is an obvious need for centres like the one that Waikato Law School has established.
What can be done, for example, for owners who wish to form governance structures so they can get a lease of their land to utilise it, but have difficulty notifying the owners to inform them of the proposals as required by section 215 of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act?
