The list includes skilled mediators and Māori Land Court judges who can act as mediators. You can also request the appointment of someone who is not on the mediator list to hear your dispute.

After the court hearing, the judge can confirm, change, or cancel any previous decision.

Can I make a complaint? Yes. If you are unhappy with your experience and wish to make a formal complaint, you can do so.
Whānau who agree to enter mediation to resolve disputes can do so out of court, pay no filing fee and can practice the tikanga of your whānau and hapū in that mediation.
