majority pursuant to section 227 of the Act.
1.11 Each Trustee must use reasonable endeavours to:
(a) provide each ahuwhenua trust or Māori incorporation in which the Trust holds
interests with current contact details for the Trust; and
(b) procure that any dividends or other benefits to which the Trust is entitled from
each ahuwhenua trust or Māori incorporation in which the Trust holds interests
are paid to the Trust.

An obvious corollary to that proposition is, subject to the available resources and infrastructure of the trust to cater for such procedures. For example, one ahuwhenua trust has over 8,000 beneficial owners for an area of land less than 200 hectares with income of less than $10,000.00 per annum.
