Applications to the Māori Appellate Court must be be lodged with the office of the Chief Registrar in Te-Whanganui-a-Tara.
The trustees then appealed to the Court of Appeal. That Court agreed with the Māori Land Court and ordered a further meeting of owners but endorsed the Māori Appellate Court’s decision that all of the trustees were eligible for reappointment.
