Records relating to the investigation ofownershipof Māori Customary Land, its subsequent
conversion to Māori Freehold Land and the chain ofownership, alienation and use of that land, are
fundamental to the history of New Zealand, and are the subject of continuing interest and inquiry
with important rights attached.
This is a snapshot ofapplications as at 31 May 2022 and some applications that appear on this
schedule may already have been dealt with by the Court at the time of print.
Applications are grouped by District and include the application reference number, the date on which
the application was filed, the subject of the application, the section of the Act under which the
application is made and the name of the applicant(s).
