The purpose of the National Pänui / Te Pänui ä Motu is
to provide notice to interested parties of hearings being
conducted in, and applications received by, the Mäori Land
Court.
Only applications and sittings that were confirmed at the
time of this publication are listed.
Pūtea trusts allow the Court on application by an interested party, to vest the uneconomic
interests of one or more owners of Māori land into a single entity.
As a result, from time to time the Māori Land Court receives applications to extend existing urupā, or to set aside Māorifreehold land, or sometimes General land owned by Māori, as new urupā reservations.
