If an owner of Māorifreehold land in multiple ownership has paid more than their share of water services changes, they can apply to the Māori Land Court for a “charging order” to recover the excess amount paid.
If you want to sell or gift your shares, and those shares form
part of Māori land vested in a Māori incorporation, you must
file a transfer application with the secretary of the Māori
incorporation.
