The purpose of the National Pänui / Te Pänui ä Motu is
to provide notice to interested parties of hearings being
conducted in, and applications received by, the MäoriLand
Court.
While individual titles according to shareholding remains the means by which Māori freehold land is administered under TeTureWhenuaMaori Act 1993, the Act has resulted in an improved approach to Māori aspirations for their land.
For more information,
please contact your local MäoriLand Court office.
Individual districts may mail out separate Pänui where 14
clear days notice is not provided in the National Pänui / Te
Pänui ä Motu.
