I commented on the obvious importance of good governance to ourMāori and New Zealand futures. While my comments were focussed on Māoriland, they are equally applicable to other Māori assets.

Chief Judge Fox announces the appointment of a Deputy Chief Judge and a new Judge to our Court, as confirmed by Minister for Māori Development Tama Potaka.
She was sworn in as the Chief Judge of the MāoriLand Court in August 2023. Her appointment to this role marks the first time since 1865 that a woman has led the MāoriLand Court bench.
