To transfer your land by gift or sale to a someone who is not a member of the preferred class of alienee (link to definition), you will need to apply for a confirmation of alienee.

in accordance with the public register privacy principles of the Privacy Act 1993.
In a pre-digital context, it simply wasn’t practical to
have one minute book series for a district or the court
as a whole; rather, it made more sense to have
multiple minute books based on geographic location
or activity.
What can be done, for example, for owners who wish to form governance structures so they can get a lease of their land to utilise it, but have difficulty notifying the owners to inform them of the proposals as required by section 215 of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act?
