Typically, as in the election of officers (chairperson etc), the trustees will make that election themselves.
In some cases, you can find trustee contact details which you can use to register your interest in receiving updates about the whenua.
By June 2025, new applications were being registered within three months, considerably faster than at any stage earlier in the year.
