In your web browser, visit the Māori Land Court website www.māorilandcourt.govt.nz and click
the green tab in the top right area labelled“Pātaka Whenua – our online portal”.
In Pātaka Whenua, you can find information about your whenua, search the court record, make an application or enquiry online and pay the application filing fee.
It is important to include all relevant information for your
application to be assessed as ‘simple’, so complete the
application form carefully and completely.

Te Kooti Whenua Māori – Māori Land Court
You do not need to register in Pātaka Whenua to be able to access information or make an application or enquiry.
How to access Pātaka Whenua as a Guest User.
The Māori Land Court moved to a new database, Pātaka Whenua, in late May 2023 replacing the Māori
Land Information System. All applications were migrated to Pātaka Whenua and given a new
application reference number.
