Use this form to file an application to the Chief Judge of the Māori Land Court to exercise their power under
section 44 of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993 to correct a mistake, error or omission on the part of the Court or
in the presentation of the facts of a case to the Court.
Chief Judge Wilson Isaac discusses Māori Land in today’s context, the steps being taken to ensure land owners have access to all necessary information that’s required.

Your application may be determined by a Registrar if it is simple and uncontested, as described in section 235A of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act
1993.
Currently, Māori Land Court judges act as mediators. While judges are acting as mediators, they will not be able to sit on the court proceeding related to that specific case.
