The matter was referred to Judge Isaac for further direction. Following consideration of Mr Monk’s availability and the Court’s hearing schedule, Judge Isaac directed that the Judicial Conference be brought forward to 3 December 2026 at 2.00 pm, which will enable Mr Monk to participate by online means while allowing the matter to be accommodated within the Court’s hearing schedule.

In July 2023, Judge Fox was appointed Chief Judge of the Māori Land Court - Te Kaiwhakawā Matua o Te Kooti Whenua Māori.
