Currently Aotearoa New Zealand has 11 women judges of Māori ancestry who serve on the High Court, District Court and Māori LandCourt. That figure represents about 4.8% of the judiciary.
Māori landowners can use, develop, and manage their land and ensure benefits for all owners. An ahu whenua trust:
holds the trustees legally responsible for the management of the land, and
uses a Māori LandCourt-approved trust order, which sets out the rights and responsibilities of the trustees and beneficial owners.
