What has changed? LEASE OR OCCUPATION LICENSE: Trusts over Māori reservation land may issue a lease or occupation license to enable the land to be occupied or built on for a period of time.
However, section 338(12) is a barrier to that form of financing on papakāinga reservations.
A licence to occupy gives you permission to build on or occupy whenua.
