After the court makes a decision, a court minute and order are created and you are provided with a copy.

Before you consider transferring your land to someone outside the preferred class of alienee (PCA), you must show that you have made an offer, or tried to make an offer, to other landowners or members of the PCA.

If an agreement is reached through mediation, the mediator will record the terms of the agreement and provide this to the Māori Land Court. A judge may make a court order to formalise what has been agreed by the parties, which will become a part of the court record.
