MĀORI LAND COURT CONTACT DETAILS
Applications should be lodged with the Registrar in the Māori Land Court District in which some or all of the lands or the subject matter of the application is located.
Training for trustees Training for trustees is a significant issue for the Court. In many instances the Court must choose between appointing inexperienced trustees to manage land or making no appointments at all.
Typically, as in the election of officers (chairperson etc), the trustees will make that election themselves. In Utuhina, it is the beneficiaries who make that choice.
(f) The mediation (regardless of whether the mediator is appointed by the parties
or the Court) will be held in accordance with the Māori Land Court mediation
process, rules and/or protocols as set out in Part 3A of the Act and by any
specific rules of the Māori Land Court for conducting mediations.
If they can’t, they may refer your concerns to the appropriate Business Unit to handle.
