The Māori Land Court and Te Anga
Whakamua project team, established to implement
the PIR recommendations, have been working
to improve the experience of court users and the
operation of the Māori Land Court. As of 30 June
2025, 32 of the 41 PIR recommendations approved
by the joint judicial and Ministry of Justice steering
committee have been completed, with the remain-
ing nine in progress.
