A large hui was held in December 2023 in Motueka and in May 2024, Judge Reeves
conducted a site visit followed by a judicial conference at the Collingwood Area School.

The purpose of the National Pänui / Te Pänui ä Motu is
to provide notice to interested parties of hearings being
conducted in, and applications received by, the Mäori Land
Court.
Her Honour is of Ngāti Porou and
Rongowhakaata descent and is the first wāhine Māori appointed to
the role. In July2023, Judge Fox was appointed Chief Judge of the
Māori Land Court - Te Kaiwhakawā Matua o Te Kooti Whenua
Māori.
