Pātaka Whenua is the online portal that holds the Māori Land Court electronic record, which includes minutes and orders.

A large amount of our record is accessible using our online portal, Pātaka Whenua. However, there are some records that are only available for viewing in hard copy at our offices, and some that are too fragile to be viewed at all.

The expectation was that they could also apply and pay for their applications online. The Court’s redesigned website is the gateway for landowners/users to access Pātaka Whenua.

In May 2023 we launched a redesigned web- site and a new online portal – Pātaka Whenua. The introduction of the Pātaka Whenua technology was part of a wider Whenua Māori Programme of change which also included implementing legislative change and intro- ducing new ways of working.
