A further complication is that section 338(12) provides that the trusteesofa Māori reservation may, with the consent of the Court, grant a lease or occupation licence ofa reservation for a term not exceeding 14 years (including any term or terms of renewal).
Examples of what could be considered ‘simple’ trust matters
include:
• forming a whānau trust for a single owner’s interests or
shares; or
• terminating a kaitiaki trust for a minor when the person
