To consider and determine lease proposals for Waimarino 3F No 4 Block, including:
(a) a proposal by Judith Anne Haitana and Dale Pohatu for a lease for a term of 10
years commencing 1 January 2022 at $850 per annum + GST (if any); and (b) an
alternative lease proposal lodged by another applicant for a longer-term grazing lease
at a different rental level and on different terms; and to resolve whether any such
proposal should be approved, declined, or deferred.

Rule 5.11(2)(b) of the Māori Land Court Rules 2011 states that a report must be produced and made available to the public of all applications filed in the Māori Land Court that are six months or older and where a final decision has not yet been made on that application.
New and amended forms are now available on the Ngā puka tono (Application forms) page of th e M a ōri Land Court we b site . These new and updated forms need to be used for all future applications .
For example, conflicts of interest might be relevant or the need to obtain a suitable spread of skills amongst the trustees;
if the Court is not minded to appoint the leading candidates through an election it must still be satisfied that the requirements of s 222(2)(b) are met;
the discretion to appoint is not broad and unfettered.
