Rule 5.11(2)(b) of the Māori Land Court Rules 2011 states that a report must be produced and made available to the public of all applications filed in the Māori Land Court that are six months or older and where a final decision has not yet been made on that application.

WHAT IS THIS FORM FOR?
It’s focused on facilitating the use and
administration of the land for the benefit of an iwi or hapū.
Under section 210 of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, trust assets must be held for Māori
community purposes.
For example, conflicts of interest might be relevant or the need to obtain a suitable spread of skills amongst the trustees;
if the Court is not minded to appoint the leading candidates through an election it must still be satisfied that the requirements of s 222(2)(b) are met;
the discretion to appoint is not broad and unfettered.
