Absolute ownership is where interest(s) or share(s) are owned by the person. Absolute interests are not subject to any other restrictions or orders (not in a trust, not a remainder interest or a life interest).
The mediation process will be limited to matters within the Māori Land Court’s jurisdiction and administered by the Court. However, it will be available for proceedings that are already before the Court as well as disputes for which Court proceedings have not been initiated.
