This guide covers two ways to searchfor a block in the Pātaka Whenua online portal:
• using the Search menu to find a block (page 2),
• locating it visually with the Block Map (page 4).
You can search to find trusts, incorporations, Māori reservations as well as other types, and will
be able to find information on:
• the overview of the organisation’s management structure,
• members of the management structure,
• ownership details,
• contact details for the administrator (if available).

As an example, in the Taitokerau District of the MāoriLand Court, minute books were maintained for
Auckland, the Bay of Islands, Kaikohe, Kaitaia and
Whangārei as well as for the District MāoriLand
Board and for the Bay of Islands Consolidation
scheme.
In addition, in accordance with rule 5.11(1)(b)(iii) of the MāoriLand Court Rules 2011, a brief summary
of the reason why the application has not been finally determined is also provided for each entry.
