Whāngai is a Māori custom where a child is raised by someone other than their birth parents – in many cases, by a blood relative.
The lease to be
drawn on the Māori Trustee’s standard form of lease suitably amended or extended as
the lessee and the agent/trustee(s) shall agree on.

Here an individual can form the trust and appoint trustees and the shareholding, which maybe across many blocks, is held for the uri of that individual down through the generations.
