Succession and whāngai
Succession with no living descendants
Succession with a living husband, wife, or partner Māorifreeholdland can be owned by one owner or several owners and in some cases, there might be hundreds of owners in one block or title of land.
Under the Settlement, successors are to be identified as though the land was Māorifreeholdland and as though the deceased person died intestate (as if they had no will).
