Succession applications
Succession is the transfer of shares in Māori land from a deceased owner to their
descendants and beneficiaries.
The Court worked by means of
written applications filed in advance by Māori
people, for example to have title to their land
investigated, to have it partitioned, for relative
ownerships tobe determined, for equitable
owners tobe added to the title, and so forth.
