Claiming money owed to you
You may be entitled to some money generated by a trust or incorporation in which you have an interest or are a shareholder. Some trusts and incorporations also provide financial assistance through grants and scholarships.
“Pātaka Whenua also enables a connectedness that has not existed before – whānau living in across the ditch and further afield will have the same access to the court record, a taonga tuku iho, as those who are able to visit us in person today.”
There are various other Acts which we operate under, including:
Māori Purposes Act 1983
The Māori Purposes Act 1983 enables the Court to determine entitlements to Tītī Islands interests.
Māori Purposes Act 1991
The Māori Purposes Act 1991 has limited powers extended to the Court in relation to the Wi Pere Trust.
The working list of potential owners has been updated through applications to substitute
deceased owners on the list. Succession applications are ongoing.
People on this list have been determined to be entitled successors to the original
beneficiaries of the land.
Once you've confirmed these details, you can find further information through the following sources: Pātaka Whenua
