Setting up an incorporation
Previously, landowners seeking to form an incorporation
need to show that owners with not less than 15 percent of
shares in the Māori land consented to the proposal.
If an owner of Māori freehold land with many owners has paid more than their share of water services charges, they can apply to the Māori Land Court for a ‘charging order’ under section 99 to recover the excess amount paid.
For example: if you are searching for succession orders for a deceased parent but only have their name and section, you could put the name of your parent in the Search keywords section and in Must include the authority 118/93 .
Chief Judge Dr Caren Fox expressed her excitement sharing this resource, stating that it captures a wealth of knowledge about the law relevant to the Court and its jurisdiction.

Another point that the Court may consider in the context of experience is a nominee’s former or current role as a trustee and the extent to which that has been successful or otherwise. Where a trustee has been involved in difficult situations on other trusts, whether or not a satisfactory explanation has been provided may also be a necessary point to review.
There are new requirements on trustees to keep and share certain
information.
Every trustee must keep a copy of the trust deed (trust order) and
any variations made to it.
When searching for ownership it will show:
• Owners details
• Block associated with that owner
• Share amounts
• Any Trusts if applicable

TIP: When looking for an owner put a “%” (wildcard) in between the first and last name.
