Having joined the Ministry of Justice in 2007 he has worked across the organisation in various leadership roles and jurisdictions including the Waitangi Tribunal Unit, Māori Land Court, Tribunals Unit, Te TureWhenua Māori reforms and most recently in the District Court.
They administer Te TureWhenua Māori Act 1993, the governing legislation for Māori land, and provide the Whenua Māori Service to support Māori landowners to explore their aspirations and unlock the potential of their whenua.
Most of the types of records in this class concern title reconstruction and
improvement processes under Te TureWhenua Māori Act 1993 to facilitate the use and
occupation of the land by Māori landowners.
