WHAT IS THIS FORM FOR?
Any benefit derived from
the trust are used to fund Māori Community Purposes (mostly charitable) as defined by
section 218 of Te TureWhenuaAct 1993.
Trust records include those created under previous legislation, in particular those that
resulted from applications under section 438 and 439 of the Māori Affairs Act 1953, which
were the pre-cursors to the current Ahu Whenua Trust structure.
This trust will hold the land for the beneficial owners, hapū, iwi, or Whenua Topū trust. Apply online Download the application form

Trustees must manage any land or interests as set out in the terms of the trust order.
The MLC operates under the provisions of TeTureWhenua
Māori Act 1993 (‘the Act’).
Trustees1 are bound by TeTureWhenua Māori Act and the
Trusts Act 2019.
Any owner or interested person may use this form to apply to the Court to call or direct the Registrar to call a meeting
of assembled owners for any Māori Freehold land or General Land owned by Māori to consider 1 or more resolutions for
those matters set out in section 172 of TeTureWhenua Māori Act 1993 (attached as a schedule to this form)
