There are two main pieces of legislation to consider: the Trusts Act 2019 and the Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993 .
It does not administer trusts. Trusts must operate within the provisions of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act¹ and the Trusts Act 2019.
