of Application (Form 1) stating the Act and the
section under which application is made:
o Section 129(1A) – for Māori landowners
o Section 118C(4)(b) – for water service
providers.

Any final terms of trust are subject to confirmation by the Māori Land Court in accordance with
sections 219 or 244 of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993.

About Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993
Te Ture Whenua Māori Act is the primary legislation for Māori land.
The MLC operates under the provisions of Te Ture Whenua
Māori Act 1993 (‘the Act’).
Trustees1 are bound by Te Ture Whenua Māori Act and the
Trusts Act 2019.
