Interests of a child
When the successor is a child at the time the MLC makes
the succession order, the Court can also appoint a kaitiaki16
trustee to act for the child until they are 20 years of age or
marry, whichever is sooner.
This is in a more foetal stage of planning so Ido not have much information but I am told it will improve access, accuracy and security of information contained in the Māori Land Court, which is very positive.
